The Will Aldrich Quartet

Will Aldrich is a Minnesota-based saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer who excels in jazz tradition. He has played numerous shows across the Twin Cities including an opening set for Wynton Marsalis at Orchestra Hall, multiple performances at the Twin Cities Jazz Fest, the Taste of Minnesota, and performances at Berlin, KJ’s Hideaway, the Metronome Brewery, Crooners, among others. He is a saxophonist looking to push boundaries between jazz, hip-hop, and other styles while maintaining a deep understanding and respect for the history of jazz music.
Will and the Roof Access band unanimously placed 1st in the 2023 Eau Jazz Festival and have conducted many shows across the Cities showcasing their unique fusion of classic swing, hip-hop, modern jazz, and Afro-Latin influences. Their debut album “Roof Access” featuring originals by Will Aldrich, Ataa Mensah, Rafi Karpowitz, and Callum Schultz is now available on CD and on all streaming platforms.
Currently studying Jazz Performance at Oberlin Conservatory in Ohio, Will studies with 2024 NEA Jazz Master Gary Bartz as well as with master bass player Gerald Cannon, Grammy award winning pianist Luis Perdomo, among other acclaimed faculty. Will is also an alum of the illustrious Walker West Music Academy in Saint Paul, studying under all its faculty including Kavyesh Kaviraj, Kevin E. Washington, Ted Olson, Jack Breen, and many more.
