The JACK SCHABERT TRIO
Jack Schabert is a Twin Cities based educator and performer. He performs professionally around the metro area with various jazz groups, and is an Instructor of Percussion, Piano, and Drum Set at Opus Music Academy. Jack is pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Music Education at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.
Jack leads professional jazz ensembles in the Twin Cities, and has performed with the Tangerine Quartet, the Zach Studdiford Quartet, the Jackson Peters Trio, the JC Sanford Quartet, and Minnesota Symphonic Winds, among others.
His group, the Blue Ox Jazz Trio, is consistently upholding a busy performance schedule, performing at restaurants, clubs, weddings, private events, and countless retirement homes every year. They also perform at the Twin Cities Saturday Night Jazz Series at KJ’s Hideaway, and at the Twin Cities Jazz Festival. In 2022 he had the opportunity to perform with the 9 time Grammy and Pulitzer Prize winner Wynton Marsalis.
