Freshly Squeezed Comedy is the high-energy, wacky standup duo of Lefty Crumpet & Jesse The Shrink. They book, produce, and perform in their own sold-out shows throughout the state of Minnesota. Lefty brings his silly songs & Jesse brings his unique perspectives as a licensed therapist (yes he really is a shrink & yes, that probably means he's analyzing you). ABOUT OUR COMEDIANS: DAN ALTEN Our headliner Dan Alten is an intelligent goofball from Kentucky who has headlined shows in 30 states playing everything from theaters to punk basements to art galleries to beloved comedy clubs. Doing over 200 shows a year bringing his tight night surreal nonsense to the people, like if the Ramones were one guy with a mustache and good jokes. He has opened for Kyle Kinane, Bobcat, Rory Scovel, Sarah Sherman from SNL, Johnny Pemberton, Hari Kondabolu, rapper Open Mike Eagle, DJ Doug Pound & David Leibe Hart from Tim & Eric, various punk bands with silly names, and a guy at an open mic who tried to throw his father’s ashes into the crowd. He has recorded 2 albums, written a zine, and filmed a pilot for an Amazon Prime stand up show that was lost to history. He’s funny. You will enjoy him and if not you can spit on his car. EMILY BARRETT We're thrilled be joined by special guest & hilarious Twin Cities comedian Emily Barrett, who was a 2023 finalist in the House of Comedy's (Mall of America) Funniest Person With A Day Job contest. Emily is truly a jack-of-all-trades, if all the trades include standup comic, professional improv performer, mother, divorcee, home owner, therapist, & taxidermy enthusiast. Trust us, you'll never think about roadkill the same. LEFTY CRUMPET Lefty Crumpet is a 25-year-old, Minneapolis-based, ethnically-ambiguous, joke-slinging, musical funnyman with social anxiety from Riverside, California. He started doing standup comedy in college & immediately fell in love with the stage. His love of playing music led him to begin incorporating comedy songs into his standup performances. He lifts your hearts and minds with absurd and hilarious jokes and tunes, about various topics ranging from relationships to Doordash. Lefty was a finalist in the Funniest Person With a Day Job contest at Rick Bronson’s House of Comedyin Mall of America & is co-founder of Freshly Squeezed Comedy. You can find him bringing joy and confusion to crowds all over the Midwest. JESSE THE SHRINK What do you get when you cross a shrink & a standup comedian? This guy! Jesse The Shrink is a bona fide licensed therapist & comic. He produces & hosts Jesse The Shrink's Midlife Crisis Show, the St Paul Comedy All-Stars Show, Friday Night Comedy at Gambit Brewing, & the 420 Standup Comedy Show. He also runs a weekly open mic at Gambit Brewing & created the Funniest Person in St Paul contest. Jesse was also a finalist in the 2024 Funniest Person With A Day Job contest at Rick Bronson's House of Comedy in Mall of America, has been a guest on the KQRS Morning Show & Tom Barnard Podcast, & is co-founder of Freshly Squeezed Comedy.
