What: Wildfire Talks: Ghost of a Chance
A conversation with Star Tribune reporter Eric Roper on how researching a 113-year-old Minneapolis home uncovered the lives of Harry and Clementine Robinson and revealed a powerful chapter of the city’s racial history.
Why it matters: This Minneapolis story has metro-wide significance, showing how histories woven into homes, streets, and systems continue to shape today’s suburbs and inform conversations on belonging and equity.
Hosted by: Wildfire — a coalition of eight ELCA churches in the northwest suburbs (Cross of Glory, Elim, Faith Lilac Way, First Lutheran Church of Crystal, Holy Nativity, House of Hope, St. James, and Valley of Peace). Wildfire’s collaborative efforts include worship, confirmation activities, bible school, a paid parish nurse, and community service initiatives such as EveryMeal and Families Moving Forward.
Extras: The evening includes an audience Q&A.
