But the difference between a quick snapshot and a photo that really tells a story isn’t just about tapping the screen—it’s about learning how to see.
In this friendly, hands-on workshop, artist and sustainable fashion designer Daphne Orlando shares insights from over 20 years as a professional illustrator and photographer. You’ll learn how to:
- Frame a shot so others see your pet the way you do
- Find the best angle to flatter (and capture personality)
- Use natural light for beautiful, soft images
- Recognize and build on what’s already working in your shots with basic editing
- Choose the details and moments that tell the story you want to remember
Whether your goal is Instagram-worthy portraits, meaningful keepsakes, or simply better everyday shots, you’ll leave with practical skills—and a new way to look at your furry (or feathered) friends.
All demos will use an iPhone, but the principles apply to any smartphone camera. Bring your phone and a few of your favorite (or most frustrating) pet photos to practice on.
