Chorus Polaris, a premier Minnesota choral ensemble, is excited to present "Light Dawns Again" at 7:30 pm Saturday, February 18, 2023 at First Lutheran Church in Columbia Heights, MN. Bill is an active clinician, leading workshops and guest conducting in 35 states including national events for the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), Choristers Guild, the American Guild of Organists, as well as teaching conferences. He is noted for a rehearsal style which leads to vocal and musical understanding. Bill has served on state boards of ACDA in California, Oklahoma, and Minnesota. His compositions are found in the catalogs of 15 music publishers.

"Light Dawns Again" is the first concert by Chorus Polaris under newly appointed Executive Director, David W. Hood. David, the first Black American to serve in an executive capacity at Chorus Polaris, joined the Board of Directors in Spring 2022. Asked to assume the duties of executive director on an interim basis in Fall 2022, he quickly established himself as an effective operational and administrative leader, and was permanently appointed to position in January 2023. On a quest to diversify its look and feel, Chorus Polaris is proud to have David as their new Executive Director.

Chorus Polaris, founded in 2005, is based the Twin Cities. In the "land of 10,000 choirs," Chorus Polaris is an auditioned, adult community choir comprised of professional, semi-professional, and talented amateur singers. The 50-voice ensemble presents music spanning more than a thousand years – from the Medieval period, to jazz, to classic and modern choral masterworks complete with orchestra. Chorus Polaris is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
