RAVE Brass to Play at Community Bridge Benefit Brunch on Saturday, May 18 at 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

RAVE Brass will play a set of favorite hits at the Community Bridge Benefit Brunch on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at The Center for Changing Lives in Minneapolis. In addition to a delicious brunch and live music, the benefit, which will run from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., will feature a silent auction with many exciting items. The event will be held at 2400 Park Avenue in Minneapolis, and tickets are being sold for $35 per person either in person or online at https://www.communitybridgempls.org/fundraiser. Additionally, there are four levels of sponsorships: The Friend Sponsorship for $250 per ticket, which is the cost to provide food for 10 families at the food shelf, includes the donor’s name and logo displayed at the brunch and on the Community Bridge (CB) website. The Supporter Sponsorship for $500 per ticket, which is the cost to serve the free Thursday community meal for one month, includes the donor's name and logo displayed at the brunch and on the CB website, as well as one ticket to the event. The Partner Sponsorships for $1,000 per ticket, which is the cost to fuel the CB van to deliver meals to those in need, such as the unhoused, for nine months, includes the donor’s name and logo displayed at the brunch and on the CB website, as well as two tickets to the event. The Community Sponsorship for $2,500 or more per ticket, which is the cost to make 500 free meals for people receiving rent assistance, receiving care at health clinics, children, and more, includes the donor's name and logo displayed at the brunch and on the CB website, as well as four tickets to the event. Additionally, donations can be made in person or online at https://www.communitybridgempls.org/fundraiser. Community Bridge is a local nonprofit organization that focuses on hunger relief, especially for the unhoused population. Their mission is to empower people to meet their needs and create opportunities for all to thrive. They achieve their mission through their weekly community meals (Thursdays at 12:00 Noon - 1:00 p.m.), monthly food shelf (second Friday and fourth Saturday at 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.), holiday food baskets (Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter), and job training. Community Bridge is run by the community and relies on the support of donors and volunteers. In 2023, through their food shelf, CB served 982 households, totaling over 2,000 individuals. They served nearly 60,000 prepared meals to the community, including the homeless encampments and local clinics. They also partnered with the Parents in Prevention Clinic from Metro State University to provide free healthcare clinics during the weekly community meal. RAVE Brass (Rosemount, Apple Valley, Eagan Brass) is the all-volunteer brass ensemble of the Rosemount Community Band and was formed in 2017. The group is made up of members of the Rosemount Community Band, and the name stands for the cities in which the members live: Rosemount, Apple Valley and Eagan. RAVE Brass performs free, live music for the communities in Rosemount and the surrounding cities in Dakota County throughout the year at both indoor and outdoor city venues, senior living centers, area churches, the Dakota County Fair and at civic festivals and events. In 2020, when larger bands were forced into hiatus due to the pandemic, RAVE Brass moved rehearsals outdoors and held outdoor performances throughout the summer and fall for residents of senior living centers in the Rosemount and Apple Valley area. Through these concerts as well as with all of their performances, RAVE Brass strives to achieve its mission to enrich the lives of others through music and to inspire youth and adults to continue to play music throughout their lives.
