Jerry, along with his cousins, Mark, and Paul, will share their family’s story in a special lecture at the Cathedral of Saint Paul, titled “Joseph A. Capecchi: One Family’s Legacy,” on Monday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit ongoing restoration projects with funding raised by the Cathedral Heritage Foundation. Guests will see archival photos, sketches and even film recorded by Joseph Capecchi, along with hearing firsthand accounts related by the Capecchi grandsons who worked beside their Italian grandfather and their fathers to return the Cathedral’s interior dome to its original brilliant color-scheme rimmed in gold leaf. The lecture will be held in the main church where the Capecchi’s can point out specific features in the sacred architecture and art related to their grandfather’s work. Tickets for the lecture alone: $20 for adults and $10 for students. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/cathedral-art-lecture-tickets-736610932127?aff=oddtdtcreator Tickets for lecture plus Legacy Patron Dinner: $150. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/cathedral-art-lecture-tickets-736610932127?aff=oddtdtcreator Dinner details: Join us to enjoy an authentic Italian dinner from Cossetta’s.
