Whether you are a master gardener or novice, please join the SouthEast Wisconsin Master Gardeners for an inspiring day dedicated to horticultural excellence, lifelong learning, and community growth. As the summer season transitions, we invite you to gather with fellow gardeners to sharpen your skills, share your passion, and celebrate the beauty of our local landscapes. Enjoy a catered lunch designed to fuel your afternoon of learning; a perfect time to network with others and trade stories from the growing season. And participate in the silent auction featuring products and services you won’t want to miss from many local businesses.
Melinda Myers, nationally known gardening expert, TV and radio host, author, and columnist with 35+ years of horticulture experience, will present Planning & Planting for a Colorful Year-Round Garden. Melinda will take you through the seasons to discover trees, shrubs, and perennials that add beauty to your landscape with their flowers, fruit, fall color, form, and texture.
Lisa Johnson, Dane County Extension Horticulture Educator will present Gardening with Climate Change in Mind: Trends, Challenges and Adaptations. Lisa will present the interconnected causes of climate change and projected climatic trends, exploring strategies and techniques to make your landscapes more resilient and shrink your carbon footprint.
