Sound Drawing in the Garden
Artist Sherrye Smith is collaborating with Angela Ruesch of AR Healing Arts to connect nature and art through sound bathing and drawing. Discover the beauty and peace of RAM’s Wustum Museum gardens while investigating various garden elements through drawing. Illustrations will appear and be enhanced with the sounds of nature. Angela will use crystal singing bowls, tongue drums, ocean drums, rain sticks, chimes, tuning forks, and a hoop drum to engage the senses. Dress for the outdoors, as entire session occurs outside. Please bring a portable chair, a journal or sketchpad, and desired drawing materials. The museum will provide additional drawing materials, and other supplies needed. Teens 14+ are also welcome.
Online registration closes three business days before class begins. You may also call 262-636-9177 to check for class availability, and to register, Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Classes are held at RAM’s Wustum Museum, 2519 Northwestern Avenue, Racine.
