During this Zoom presentation, Dr. Mark Freeland will introduce a few basic concepts of kinship and relationality in his language, Ojibwemowin, helping us to restore our relationship with land and embrace a worldview of kinship.
Facilitator Mark Freeland is Director of the Electa Quinney Institute for American Indian Education, Director of American Indian Studies, and Associate Professor of Anthropology at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Mark is Bear Clan and a member of the Bahweting community in Northern Michigan (Sault Ste. Marie Tribe Chippewa).
