Deadline x Nō Studios Doc Talk Live Audience Podcast
Doc Talk, a Nō Studios produced podcast in partnership with Deadline, will record a live audience podcast on Sunday, April 21st. The weekly podcast series is hosted by Oscar-winning filmmaker and founder of Nō Studios, John Ridley, alongside Deadline’s Documentary Editor, Matthew Carey. Doc Talk is a Webby- Award-winning podcast focused on filmmaking. Ridley and Carey host weekly interviews with industry leaders and filmmakers. The live podcast recording will take place during the MKE Film Festival and will feature four documentary filmmakers featured in the festival:
Sev Rodgers: Chasing Chasing Amy
Marie Louis Schumacher: Out of the Picture
Debra McClutchy: Archival Producing
richie reseda and JJ'88: Songs from the Hole
The event will be hosted at Nō Studios, a collaborative workspace and social community for Milwaukee artists and activists to come together and socialize with purpose. Nō Studios was founded by Milwaukee native and Doc Talk host John Ridley and offers many services to local artists and non-profit organizations including podcast and audio production, event hosting and promotion, videography, and a more. Members of Nō Studios, get special access, discounts and privileges in the same facilities where John and Matt will host the live Doc Talk podcast.
