HOPES Center Golf Outing
The fifth annual HOPES Center Charity Golf Outing will be played in a “Shamble” format where each foursome will use their best drive on each hole and then the hole is played from that spot by each player using their own ball and individual shots. Scoring will be Team “Best Ball” or the lowest score of the foursome on each hole plus Individual scoring. Prizes will be awarded for the three best Individual scores as well as the top two team’s cumulative Best Ball scores. The Outing’s package will include complimentary golf, range balls, drink tickets, golf cart, gift bag and automatic entry into our three pre-golf contests. We’re also planning a 50/50 raffle and a raffle of some amazing items donated by local retailers as well as items available to the highest bidders. As mentioned above, before golf there will be a chipping contest, a putting contest and a guess your drive contest which each player is automatically entered into and during golf there will be the following activities: longest drive for both men and women, longest drive with Junior sized club for men and women, straightest drive, closest to the pin, longest putt, two hole in one contests, closest to the pin in regulation on a par 4 and opportunities to win money for hitting the green on a par three or better yet, inside a 30-foot diameter circle. After golf, players will be able to relax and enjoy a BBQ dinner, participate in the raffles and the auction, and collect well-deserved prizes earned on the course. Sign up will start at 11:30 AM with open practice range along with the three pre-golf contests followed by a shotgun start at 1:45pm. Meadowbrook Country Club’s restaurant will also be open to the public for lunch.
