"Long Live the King 70/20" Dinner Concert
Join us for an unforgettable celebration as John Van Thiel presents “Long Live the King 70/20,” a dinner concert honoring 70 years of Elvis Presley’s iconic legacy. The event takes place on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Infusino’s Banquet Hall, 3201 Rapids Dr., Racine. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., dinner is served at 5:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7:00 p.m.
Elvis Presley, the King of Rock and Roll, is an unparalleled phenomenon. From his groundbreaking debut in 1954 to his untimely death in 1977, Presley forever transformed the world of music and popular culture. Seven decades later, his music and mystique continue to captivate millions of fans worldwide. Entertainer John Van Thiel pays homage to Presley with a special musical journey through the King’s reign featuring more than 50 memorable hits spanning the 1950s, the movie years, his comeback, and the concert era of the 1970s.
This year also marks a special milestone for Van Thiel, who began paying tribute to Presley professionally 20 years ago. At the outset, he adopted the byname “The Voice of Elvis” due to an uncanny vocal resemblance to the famous entertainer that led many to think he was lip-syncing. He will share stories of his experiences entertaining audiences large and small through the years and will have a surprise or two as well.
Enjoy a sumptuous buffet dinner with roast pork loin and gravy, Italian baked chicken, garlic roasted red potatoes, cheese ravioli, Italian salad, green beans, bread and butter, followed by a special Elvis dessert.
