14th Annual Free Thanksgiving Day Feast - Thursday, November 23
Dan Johnson of Danny’s Meats/Catering by Danny at the Hickory Hall and Ray Stibeck of Route 20 Bar & Grill Restaurant, will host the 14th Annual Dan & Ray’s Rendering Thanks Free Thanksgiving Community Meal, on Thursday November 23, from 10:00am to 1:00pm at the Racine Festival Hall, 5 Fifth Street. With the help from many dedicated volunteers and sponsors, this wonderful community feast has grown larger every year in attendance to help feed over 1000 people.
A delicious traditional Thanksgiving buffet dinner will be served, along with beverages and assortment of desserts including pumpkin pie. Individual carry-out meals will also be offered.
There will be a variety of entertainment featured throughout the day including local recording artist Cheryl McCrary Band former Mrs. Wisconsin Royalty International, Dan the One Man Band, dance teams, musical guests, children’s crafts and more! Attendees will also enjoy football on the big screen!
Route 20 Cares is a 501c3 non-profit organization, and was founded by Ray Stibeck in efforts to do more for the community. They are looking for local businesses and community members, who would like to help participate in sponsorship. A $50.00 donation will help cover the cost to feed a family of 10 or $20 for a family of 4, to enjoy a sit down meal or individually packaged carry out meals. Sponsor names will also be listed on all of the place mats. If anyone would like to help with sponsorships or donations, checks can be made payable to Route 20 Cares and mailed to Route 20 - 14001 Washington Avenue, 53177 or Danny’s Meats Meats - 1317 4 Mile Road Racine WI 53402. Cash donations will also be accepted at the door.
In conjunction with this free event, Route 20 Cares will be providing a food drive benefiting the Racine County Food Bank. Attendees are encouraged to help donate non-perishable food items, that will also be accepted at the door.
