Annual National Day of Prayer - Thursday May 1
The Annual National Day of Prayer observance will be held on Thursday May 1st from 11:45am – 1:00pm at City Hall outside on the east deck, 730 Washington Avenue in Racine WI. The scripture theme is: Romans 15:13; "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
The National Anthem and worship will be led by local coordinator Minister Cheryl McCrary. Various local pastors, military representatives and city leaders will lead in prayer. An invitation will be provided for children in attendance to recite the “Pledge of Allegiance”. There will be a moment of silence to honor military and their families. A special presentation of “Taps” will be performed followed by closing worship and prayer.
