About the Author: Keenan Jones is a writer and an educator who currently resides in Plymouth, Minnesota. He was born and raised in northwest Indiana (Gary, IN) and south suburban Chicago (University Park, IL), and comes from a proud family of educators, pastors, athletes, and musicians. After a college basketball injury ended his athletic career, Keenan turned to teaching and eventually found his way back to his first love—writing. As an author, Keenan is deeply passionate about literacy and its power to inspire young people to dream, lead, and achieve. His work is rooted in the belief that every child deserves access to books where they can see themselves—reflected, respected, and celebrated. Saturday Morning at the 'Shop is the first of many stories Keenan hopes to share with the world. Join us as we welcome him for an afternoon of connection, storytelling, and community.
