Wisconsin Ave., 53203. Tickets go on sale at a special holiday price on Thanksgiving Day so stay tuned! Guests and celebrity judges taste the very best bloody marys that the Milwaukee area has to offer and vote for the winner. Ticket holders will have access to the full market and enjoy snacks from market vendors, raffles, beer chasers and more. We need your support more than ever! This fun event is a FUNDRAISER – with proceeds that provide critical funds to programs such as the Wisconsin Bleeding Disorders Conference, Emergency Patient Financial Assistance, Camp Klotty Pine for kids and state and federal advocacy — all to support children and families living with a bleeding disorder. What does it cost to treat hemophilia and other bleeding disorders? • The average initial annual cost for treatment of severe hemophilia is $300,000. • For patients with inhibitors, costs can exceed $1 million annually. • Monthly costs for injection supplies range from $60 to $117 for hemophilia, depending on insurance coverage. • Gene therapies for hemophilia A and B can cost up to $3.5 million for a single treatment. Bleeding disorders are a lifelong diagnosis – there is no cure. Nearly 3,000 people are treated with bleeding disorders in Wisconsin, more than half of which are children. Bleeding disorders bring social, financial, and medical challenges. GLHF’s mission is to educate, support and advocate for the bleeding disorders community; and our vision is for people living with a bleeding disorder to live life with fewer limitations. Proceeds from Milwaukee’s Best Bloody support programs like Camp Klotty Pine, for children living with a bleeding disorder; the Wisconsin Bleeding Disorders Conference; Wisconsin Advocacy Day; and emergency patient financial assistance for expenses such as medical bills, insurance premiums or other urgent basic needs. GLHF is part of a national awareness campaign to help the estimated 1-2% of the population who live with a bleeding disorder get a proper diagnosis.
