On Friday, September 27th, Milwaukee’s 5 Points Art Gallery + Studios invites the community to an extraordinary 10-hour immersive festival celebrating art, culture, and collective action. From morning into evening, guests will experience a dynamic lineup of visual art exhibitions, live music, performances, local food vendors, and community conversations designed to highlight both the richness of Milwaukee’s cultural scene and the urgent need to preserve one of its most important creative spaces.
This event is more than a festival—it’s a rallying call to protect 5 Points Art Gallery + Studios from foreclosure and predatory development. In just seven years, 5 Points has become a nationally respected hub for creativity and advocacy, offering affordable artist housing, residency programs, and groundbreaking exhibitions that bring local, national, and international artists into conversation with Milwaukee’s communities.
Under the leadership of Fatima Laster—award-winning artist, curator, and community leader—the gallery has earned some of the city’s highest honors, including the 2024 Black Excellence Award, the 2024 Milwaukee Art Board Mildred L. Harpole Artist of the Year, and the 2021 Mayor’s Design Award. Now, the gallery faces a looming $260,000 balloon payment, and its future depends on community support.
Who should attend?
• Art lovers eager to experience new and transformative work
• Milwaukee residents passionate about protecting cultural spaces

This festival is an opportunity to stand together for a space where aesthetics meet advocacy. Come for the art, stay for the music and food, and leave knowing you’ve contributed to sustaining one of Milwaukee’s most vital cultural institutions.
