Game Universe - Warhammer 40,000 Food Drive

We are super excited to inform you of our upcoming Food For the Food God Charity Event! This is our second year running the event, and last year went so well that we filled a 55 gallon drum with donations, and even had to use extra boxes to store the remaining donations! We also raised $400 for The Waukesha Food Pantry (https://www.waukeshafoodpantry.org). We expect this year to be even better! We hope you’re interested in covering a positive story about a local group giving back to their community. We want to show the area how amazing our wargamers are. We also want to inspire others in the area to run similar events to give back to and strengthen their communities. This year’s event is happening on June 28th at 12 pm at Game Universe Brookfield. Our address is 19555 W Bluemound Road Suite 34-36, Brookfield WI 53045. The event runs for a few hours, with the entrants playing a miniature war game called Warhammer 40,000. Each entrant donates money to the food drive in order to play in the event. We provide each player with 10 commemorative dice for their donation. Anyone who donates food, whether or not they wish to play in the event, gets 5 commemorative dice for their donation. Warhammer is a miniature war game where players assemble, paint, and organize their army of miniatures in preparation for an intense and strategic tabletop battle. In this epic event, players will join one of two teams, and those two teams will wage a gruesome war against one another. So much fun! All three Game Universe locations host weekly free-to-play Warhammer events. The players will be donating non-perishable food items and buying commemorative dice for the event. 100% of profits from the dice sales will go to the Waukesha Food Pantry.
