Tropical Fruit & Vegetable Society of Redland Presents Mango Mania
Join us to learn more about the delicious world of mangos with Dr. Jonathan Crane, Tropical Fruit Crop Specialist, University of Florida’s Tropical Research & Education Center, TREC. Dr. Crane is the leading expert in the tropical fruit field in south Florida and has developed numerous educational programs over the past 30 years on tropical fruit production for home gardeners and commercial producers. Hear him before his retirement at the end of this year.
The program will begin with a 11⁄2 hour presentation, followed by a question-and-answer period, and then a substantial sampling of many locally grown mangos with Dr. Crane highlighting featured mangos on display. After this, take home mangos in your bag given at registration. (The bag holds about 12-14 small mangos like Pickering or 8-10 medium size mangos like Glenn.) Keep your name tag to visit the Fruit & Spice Park for free for the rest of the day.
Registration is $60 online or $75 at the door (if space is available) and includes a light breakfast with fresh mangos and a bag to take home some of your favorite mangos! There is a cap of 75 participants, so get your tickets soon!
