The City of Homestead is conducting a comprehensive Vulnerability Assessment to evaluate the potential impacts of flooding, wind, and heat on critical assets and infrastructure throughout the city. These include essential facilities and systems such as water and wastewater treatment plants, hospitals and healthcare facilities, power and communications infrastructure, transportation corridors, and public buildings. This assessment will provide data-driven insights into the risks posed by climate-related hazards, ensuring the city is better prepared for future events. To gather input, the City will host a series of hybrid community meetings—offering both in-person and virtual participation options. Residents are invited to the City of Homestead Public Outreach Meeting to provide input on the City’s vulnerabilities. Your participation is essential to developing a resilient Homestead.
