FREE 2025 TAX PREPARATION SERVICES FOR CITY OF MIAMI RESIDENTS

The City of Miami, through the Department of Human Services, is once again joining forces with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and community partners! We are assisting employees and residents by continuing to offer the IRS's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) free tax preparation services. Employees or residents wishing to file their tax returns can visit select parks and work closely with trained and certified income tax preparers if their yearly salary is up to $60,000. You can also find out if you qualify to recieve a federal income tax refund. The tax year 2025 maximum Earned Income Tax Credit amount is $8,046 for qualifying children, up from $7,830 for tax year 2024. We offer free, simple tax preparation in a safe and professional manner. Services will be provided through April 15th, 2025. Preparation hours vary depending on location.
