The Sunshine Jazz Organization Presents "1st Fridays Live at The Lyric"
The Sunshine Jazz Organization celebrates 38 Season and our monthly concert series "1st Fridays Live at The Lyric", is presented at the Black Archives and Historic Lyric Theater in Overtown Miami. The Lyric is a beautiful renovated 112 year old Theater, among the oldest in the USA. SJO will present July's "1st Friday Live at The Lyric" on Friday the 5th featuring Nathan Skinner and VIBEAT! VIBEAT cleverly flows between genres, and pushes the boundaries of jazz, beats, and synth-music to create sounds all their own. Their release “VIBEATEP” is the culmination of influences and experiences brought on by Terence Blanchard, Stephen Scott, Weather Report, Now Vs Now, Mark Guiliana’s BEATMUSIC, and Steps Ahead.
Original music written by Nathan Skinner (malletSTATION), and Sean Devivo (Sax) use familiar musical building blocks from Jazz, R&B, Trap, and Electronica to create a whole new world of grooves, melody, and mind-bending soundscapes that are sure to take you on a trip. - Performing music from their debut album - "V I B E A T E P " features Nathan Skinner on malletSTATION/synth/electronics, Sean Devivo - saxophone, Joshua Ewers - bass, and Andre Sudol - Drums.
