ColorMusic Grand Opening: A Magical Piano Show


Have you ever felt anger burning within? So did Beethoven. Have you ever been lost in the depths of melancholy? Chopin felt it too. Have you ever fallen deeply, madly in love? Liszt and Rachmaninoff knew the feeling well. Welcome to the Grand Opening of ColorMusic—an exclusive piano concert show like no other! This one-of-a-kind event combines short and famous classical masterpieces with stunningly beautiful and harmonious piano pieces, brought to life through immersive colored lighting. Experience the extraordinary—where you don’t just hear the music; you see and feel it in ways you never imagined. Let ColorMusic open up your imagination and take you on a journey of emotions like never before! Program Chopin, Etude Op. 25 No. 1 Chopin, Etude Op. 25 No. 2 Debussy, Pagodes/Temple Liszt, La Leggierezza/ the lightness Liszt, Liebestraume/ Dreams of Love Intermission 15 min Beethoven, Pathetique Sonata Mov. 1. Beethoven Sonata Op. 2 No. 3 Mov. 2. Chopin, Impromptu Schumann, Romance No. 2 Rachmaninoff, No. 18 Variation, from Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op. 43 *The pianist Tingting Wu will give a brief 30-second to 1-minute explanation of the main color theme and emotions for each piece. Friendly Notice: 1. Feel free to take photos and videos during the performance, but please ensure your flashlight is off and your camera is silent. 2. Applause is welcome! You may clap at the end of each piece when the performer places her hands on her lap. 3. Dress as you prefer—informal, semi-formal, or formal. While there are no strict dress codes, kindly avoid overly casual attire. 4. Donations of any amount are warmly appreciated, as this project is made possible by your generous support! Founder's Bio Tingting Wu, the founder of the ColorMusic project, a solo pianist, and a piano educator with a Doctoral of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance from the University of Miami. In 2022, she was invited to perform a 15-minute piano solo on the American PBS program Pictures at an Exhibition. The program is now broadcasting on over 220 PBS stations across the United States.
