One Small Step - Desert Overture LGBT Wind Symphony Concert


The One Small Step concert is being held on Sunday, March 6 at 3:00 pm at Tempe Center for the Arts (700 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe, AZ 85281). Advance tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and students, and children 12 and under are free. There is a $5 per ticket surcharge at the door. Tickets are available at www.DesertOverture.org. 
Desert Overture, with its more than 50 musicians, was formed in 2010 and remains a hidden cultural gem in the Valley of the Sun. The concert band is an active member of the Pride Bands Alliance, which has grown to 36 members across the country, including international bands. Desert Overture performs at least four major concerts a year in the valley.
"There is a great deal of renewed interest regarding space travel and the cosmos" said Scott Helms, Desert Overture Artistic Director. "This concert brings together a unique collection of space-inspired music that is sure to set the imagination adrift."
