Richard Ruelas, author of Thanks for Tuning In will be speaking at the Sunnyslope Historical Society. Richard Ruelas is an Arizona native and a graduate ofArizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School ofJournalism and Mass Communication. After graduation, he worked briefly for the Associated Press before moving to the afternoon newspaper, the Phoenix Gazette. He joined theArizona Republic after those two staffs merged. He has covered all manner of stories – politics, crime, features,sports. He has previously served as a moderator for debates put on by the Republic and by the Clean ElectionsCommission. For the last decade, he has also carved out amini-beat of covering the Arizona wine industry. Ruelas is the co-author of “Ho Ho, Ha Ha, Hee Hee, Ha Ha TheWallace and Ladmo Show: 35 Years of Laughter” and the authori of “Thank for Tuning In,” the biography of Bill“Wallace” Thompson.
