What: Join Duet: Partners In Health & Aging for a special workshop series hosted alongside Touchstone Health Services. The Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) is an evidence-based curriculum designed to equip parents with the skills they need to be self-sufficient and to be able to manage family challenges without ongoing support.
Who: This six-week workshop is open to grandparents raising grandchildren and other kinship caregivers who want to learn how to build their parenting skills.
When: Beginning Tuesday, June 4, 2024, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
Recurring every Tuesday through July 9, 2024
Where: Virtually via Zoom
Why: The Triple P workshop series aims to promote positive, caring relationships between parents and their children and to help parents develop effective management strategies for dealing with various childhood behavior and common development issues.
Each session in the schedule explores a unique topic:
· June 4: Positive parenting
· June 11: Helping children develop
· June 18: Managing misbehavior
· June 25: Planning ahead
· July 2: Using positive parenting strategies
· July 9: Program close
Parents will receive a workbook to navigate program modules. Upon completion of the program, each parent will receive a certificate of completion and a $20 gift card.
