Sunday Speaker: David Pepper - Laboratories of Autocracy
Laboratories of Autocracy: The Attack on American Democracy and How We Fight Back
David Pepper will discuss how power is wielded at state levels, how autocrats are (mis)using that power, and practical steps that we can take to protect democracy.
Biography:David Pepper is a lawyer, writer, political activist, former elected official, and adjunct professor, and served as the Chairman of the Ohio Democratic Party between 2015 and 2021. HSGP will be giving away David Pepper's book, "Laboratories of Autocracy: A Wake-Up Call from Behind the Lines" to an attendee of the talk! We'll collect names at the door and from the Zoom participant list and will randomly select a winner. We will then contact the winner and arrange delivery or shipment of the book. Our previous winner was Roy Towne attending on Zoom!
