Mesa Community College Music Department Presents: Desert Echoes Flute Project Concert
Oct 10 at 7:30 pm – MCC Performing Arts Center
You guessed it. DEFproject is indeed playing Selections from Leonard Bernsteins's West Side Story: Cool, A Boy Like That, and America plus Adventure by Eugene Magalif. The DEF Community Flute Choir will perform Talisman by Alexandra Molnar-Suhajda, some mixed meter fun with A Little Joy by Jonathan Cohen, and the beautiful Beckett's Whisper by Ron Korb. The Chamber Choir is playing Sophie Dufeutrelle's sextet, L'ombre du blanc and the program closes with the combined ensembles (over 50 flutists!) playing A Call to Unity by Jonathan Cohen and The Skeleton Dance by Carl Stalling and arranged by Erin Spencer. Join us for a cool concert!
