Pitmasters on Fire at Multi-Day Signature BBQ Classic Event
MESA, Ariz. – The second annual Downtown Mesa BBQ Classic is making a Valley wide comeback, after a resounding success last year. More than 40 world-class pitmasters, from all over the Valley and country, will take over the East Valley for an unforgettable weekend of smoky, mouthwatering goodness in the heart of Downtown Mesa (100 N. Center St.). Live music, family fun and local vendors will join together alongside a Barbecue Championship Series (BCS)-sanctioned competition for friends and family alike to enjoy.
A full day of activities is set for Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. as pitmasters go grill-to-grill for the coveted recognition of being crowned the very best in BBQ—all while being judged by trained BBQ experts. After experiencing first-hand the culinary creativity and mastery of participating chefs, guests can enjoy BBQ tastings for just $2, live music and local vendors selling both BBQ and non-BBQ plates. Family-friendly activities including line dancing and local artisanal items will also be available to explore.
