Your location has been changed to Memphis area.
Ballet Memphis will open its doors to the community Saturday, July 25, for an Open House celebration featuring dance classes, face painting, crafts, Pilates and fitness demonstrations, local food vendors, and a special performance by the Summer Advanced Intensive program.
“Ballet Memphis’s HQ, the Dorothy Gunther Pugh Center for Dance, is located on a vibrant intersection where Overton Square and the Midtown bustle of activity meet,” said Andrew Goldberg, executive director of Ballet Memphis. “It is a perfect location for arts, health and wellness, and dining and entertainment. We’re thrilled to open our doors on July 25 for the community to get a sense of our many offerings.”
We will have food and refreshments for purchase from local favorites MEMPops, Ritzie’s BBQ and Grind City Coffee and a special pop up by America’s Dancewear featuring BMS school uniforms and other dance essentials.
The Open House begins at 12pm and lasts until 3pm. We will conclude with a special performance by dancers participating in Ballet Memphis’ Summer Advanced Intensive, offering guests a glimpse of the talent and dedication cultivated through the organization’s premier training programs, or you can stay in the studios for more dance instruction.
NBC affiliate WMC Action News 5 and 103.5 WRBO will serve as media sponsors for the event.
