Harlem Summer Nights

Harlem Summer Nights is Harlem's open-air Friday residency on the 125th Street Viaduct, where the iron overpass becomes a roof and the block underneath turns into a night market. Seven Fridays, July 10 through August 21, 2026, 5pm to 10pm. Free every week, no ticket, walk right up. Fifty-plus local vendors and restaurants line the Viaduct, 80 percent of them minority and women owned, plating the food Harlem actually eats. Live music and DJs run the night, the OGs of Harlem hold down the legacy, and the Uptown Food Incubator gives the neighborhood's newest food businesses a corner of the block to build on. It is the fifth year of a model that started as the Uptown Night Market and grew into something the neighborhood claims as its own. This is the summer Friday Harlem keeps coming back to. The smell of the grills, the bass under the iron, neighbors and strangers eating shoulder to shoulder until the lights come down at ten.
