On Sunday, December 10. 2023 the Wayne Public Library will have a program featuring the musical group Avon Faire. Featuring traditional Celtic and English Folk songs this program begins at 2:00 pm and runs until 4:00 pm. It will be held in the Meeting Room which is easily handicapped accessible. This program is Free and Open to the Public. Avon Faire is New York City’s fun, female, vocal harmony group, reimagining traditional Celtic folk songs, medieval story ballads, rousing pub tunes, romantic classics and sea shanties from Ireland and the British Isles! Featuring Kath Green and Andriette Redmann, along with singer/recorderist Anna Marie Spallina, dance/harpist Dawn Daniels and percussionist John Rokosny.
Avon Faire has recorded 2 CDs: debut album “Riddles and Love Songs”, and “Tales of Love and Adventure”, as well as the Sephardic Lullaby “Durme, Durme”, which is featured on the soundtrack to the Emmy nominated film “They Survived Together”. Two new videos have been released as well! “South Australia” featuring Cait O’Riordan, and “The Jolly Beggar” featuring dancers Dawn Daniels and Niall O’Leary.
