Exhibition Opening: The Art of Faith Ringgold
The exhibition opening for the "Art of Faith Ringgold" will feature remarks by Neal Rosenstein, president of The Puffin Foundation, and Dorian Bergen, the president of American Contemporary Art Galleries which represents Faith Ringgold’s works. The event will also feature musical performances by The Dolly Workman Project and spoken word performance by author and poet Scott Pleasants. The "Art of Faith Ringgold" is a selection of works of world-renowned artist and activist Faith Ringgold on view at the Puffin Cultural Forum until April 28th, 2023. The exhibition is presented in conjunction with Gallery Bergen's "Coming to Jones Road" made possible through grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and The Puffin Foundation. The works on view at the Puffin Cultural Forum include some artwork from "Jones Road" but also includes examples of Ringgold's work about jazz, the civil rights movement, and other aspects of American history and culture.
