This exhibit represents Pecaric's eclectic background. It shows how her work developed and transformed over time. As an artist of many interests, she likes to use different techniques and mediums in her work. She really does not like to be labeled just as a printmaking artist, painter, photographer or ceramicist. Pecaric likes to use all the techniques to express and explore the theme and mediums for specific projects. She is inspired by the works of many artists. Picasso is an exceptional multi-medium artist who expressed himself in painting, sculpture, ceramics.
Mundane daily life and its challenges, reflections change the course of Pecaric's work and direction. Choice of mediums and techniques are just some results of her inner emotions that enhance it all through creative work. Getting lost in tranquil Bohemian landscapes, winter stillness of nature, or ancient Biblical stories that come to life every time they are encountered. Her inner child and childhood memories awaken through creating pottery and ceramics, clay as material shaped her childhood and all the creative beginnings in her birthplace of Pannonian region. This exhibit Percaric is sharing her world of different colors and mediums. Here you will see landscapes of places that are meaningful, linocuts and calligraphic forms intertwined with Biblical symbolism, ceramics and mixed media sculptures are playful reminders that we should not always take everything too seriously.
Light refreshments will be served.
