**Verse & Visual: Celebrating America 250 – Opening Reception**
Join us for a special **Opening Event** of the **Verse & Visual Art Show and Sale** on **April 2 from 5–7 PM** at the Oakland Public Library.
In celebration of **America 250**, this inspiring evening will showcase local artists and their work—**Browse or Buy!**—while honoring our nation’s story through creativity and expression.
The evening will feature a **special poetry reading** by guest poets, adding powerful literary voices to this unique cultural experience. Guests will also enjoy **light refreshments**.
Presented by **Arts in Oakland**, the **Borough of Oakland**, and the **Oakland Public Library**, this event brings the community together to celebrate art, history, and American spirit.
