Baker Street Cares Family Fun Day
Baker Street Cares Foundation (BSC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing mental health services to those without access, will host a Family Fun Day on July 20 from 11:00 am-3:00 pm at its Fair Lawn Pediatric Therapy Center. The Family Fun Day will introduce local families to its suite of mental and behavioral health services, as well as complementary healthcare services, including psychology, autism and ABA Therapy, neuropsychological evaluation, biofeedback, podiatry, executive functioning & social skills groups and occupational therapy.
Family Fun Day will also kickoff free Executive Functioning Group Programs hosted by Baker Street Cares Foundation for Bergen County youth diagnosed with a wide array of emotional and behavioral challenges. The Executive Functioning Group sessions will take place weekly, and will focus on reducing negative behaviors, while improving relationships through the following key components:
• Social skills
• Verbally based cognitive skills
• Computer based cognitive skills
• Domain-specific skills building
• Biofeedback therapy
To complement the group programming, Baker Street Cares will host monthly Parent Training Workshops focused on sharing the latest information, tools, and strategies to help families better manage symptoms, executive functioning issues, and behaviors associated with their children’s conditions. Transportation vouchers will be made available to any family who needs transportation assistance.
