With its rich traditions of craftsmanship, Puerto Rico is the rum capital of the world. Now all the delights of the island are being transported to the mainland, as Rums of Puerto Rico announces its 2019 Taste of Rum Pop-Up Tour. And all are invited to be transported to that island life just by coming along.
The tour, for both rum lovers and newcomers, reaches New York City on Saturday, October 12 at the new Manhattan hotspot, Jungle Bird. Starting at 5pm, Ramon Diaz, Rums of Puerto Rico Brand Ambassador, will be presenting a tasting seminar on Puerto Rico’s finest aged rums, offering insights into their history and methods of production, and guiding tasters through each rum’s uniquely delicious profile. Following the seminar, the talented bar staff of Jungle Bird will be mixing up a special menu of rum cocktails both classic and innovative, with the finest Puerto Rican brands including BacardÃ, Don Q, and Ron del Barrilito. The party will continue into the night with live Puerto Rican bands and a DJ specializing in Latin beats.
