Retreat: The Great Search

Join us for the first of three annual retreats at Holy Wisdom Monastery with the School of Earth and Soul. This retreat will be led by John Philip Newell, a world-renowned international spirituality teacher and author of 15 books. Together, we will focus on seeking an unbounded vision of the sacred in all things through the teachings of Thomas Berry, Nan Shepherd and Martin Buber and help translate this awareness into compassionate action. The Great Search follows a three-year cycle of teaching and spiritual practice in annual retreats hosted around the country. Holy Wisdom Monastery will be a site for the Earth and Soul School, with John Philip Newell leading the first retreat in The Great Search series, ‘Seeking the Sacred in a Time of Religious Exile.’ *Lodging is not included in the price of the school.
