We offer our Kids on the Prairie programs monthly, April-November. Registration for our October program is now open. Once the October program is over, the November registration will open. Please register so we know how many people to prepare for.
October 11 – The Gift of Trees. Trees are alive all year round. Explore woodlands and savanna. Find out how trees shelter all kinds of critters from winter cold and snow. Listen to the forest. Where to some butterflies, bees, and toads spend the winter? How are all these trees connected to each other?

Schedule
Meet at the monastery building parking lot kiosk at 10:30 am. Begin walk at 10:35 am. Return at 11:45 am.
Guides
Experienced volunteer educators and guides include Julie Melton, Anne Basken, Charles and Sue Bradley, Sandy Weber, Lisa Gaumnitz, Ken Basken and Joan Martin. Additional support from guest presenters Mike Crawford and Michael Shinners as needed.
Cost & Registration
