Family Celebration Day for Kids Mental Health
Join the kick-off to May’s Mental Health Awareness Month at the first-ever “Family Celebration Day for Kids Mental Health.” The LA-based event will raise national awareness for child mental health through a signature event featuring celebrity advocates hosting family-friendly activities in a carnival-like atmosphere. The event marks the expansion of On Our Sleeves, as the leading organization promoting child mental health in the United States. The Family Celebration Day will also raise funds to support the organization’s mission to provide free resources to parents, teachers, caregivers, and health professionals.
The Family Celebration Day for Kids Mental Health will feature activities for all ages, including a storybook reading, a conversation station, yoga and wellness sessions, sports skills activities, a crafting station, a friendship bracelet station, a positivity mirror, and more. The movement’s celebrity supporters, clinicians, and experts will lead activities across the afternoon.
The Family Celebration Day evolved from Songs for Tomorrow, a charity concert event held in January 2023 to honor the late musician Aaron Carter. Angel Carter Conrad, Aaron’s sister and an On Our Sleeves celebrity champion, and Corey Conrad are co-chairs for the event.
Tickets are $25 for Children and $50 for adults with Special VIP Family Bundles available. A quantity of free tickets has been offered to organizations serving children to make the event accessible to families across the community.
