One Colorado, an unforgettable shopping and dining destination in the heart of Old Pasadena, just a few miles from downtown Los Angeles (https://www.onecolorado.com), invites the community to celebrate Earth Day with an engaging afternoon of hands-on activities, sustainable workshops, local pop-ups and live music on Saturday, April 25th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the courtyard. During the Twigzz Pollinator Plant Workshop, guests can learn about supporting local ecosystems and create a take-home plant, and at the Falling Leaves Art Craft, kids can transform fallen leaves into butterfly and bug artwork. Complimentary lemonade and Salt & Straw ice cream will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees can also explore One Colorado’s on-site beehive, meet its beekeepers and learn about bees’ vital role in the environment, with the chance to receive honey harvested from the center’s own bees through an exclusive giveaway. The event will highlight eco-conscious brands with pop-up shops from Rothy’s, ElleRali, and Patagonia and its partners, including Garden of Hope from City of Hope. Sephora will also host a pop-up to collect hard-to-recycle beauty empties through its partnership with the Pact Collective, allowing guests to responsibly recycle beauty packaging. And guests can take part in Jerseys to Totes, a DIY experience by Second Life Studio transforming old jerseys into custom tote bags in partnership with The Salvation Army. Live music throughout the afternoon will create an upbeat, welcoming atmosphere. Crafts and giveaways are available while supplies last. While the event is free and open to the public, space is limited and registration is requested at https://bit.ly/4rL9S0u. From late April through the end of May, guests can also experience a spring art installation designed by local artist Jen Johnson of Dutch + Finn Design, featuring nature-inspired forms reminiscent of butterfly and bee pollinators that create a colorful, photo-worthy display that can be seen overhead in Douglas Alley.
