Immersive Dinner and Contemporary Dance Performance at Melody Wine Bar
Beloved Los Angeles staple Melody Wine Bar and new Los Angeles based movement company Empara will present the world premiere of “Well Done.” Created and choreographed by Megan Paradowski and produced by Halston Bruce, “Well Done” is a bold and experimental investigation of individual and systemic facades through visceral and theatrical contemporary dance. Four dancers personify mercurial, constantly assimilating characters who compete for your attention as they create and deconstruct their own fictional society around you. In the ordinary microcosm of a dinner party, the dancers try to separate identity from influence and rebel against the absurdity of social facades.
Audiences will enjoy a three course meal prepared by chef Sera Domenica of Domenica Dinette as well as complimentary beverages from Melody’s impressive wine selection. The work will be performed by dancers Daphne Fernberger, Marco Palomino, Travis Lim, and Shauna Davis with costumes by Rabôt Clothing.
