Double Down Against Fascism: A Weekend of Refusal Day 2
An organized demonstration including a rally and march through the community of Boyle Heights hosted by Refuse Fascism. It is an opportunity for members of the community to gather in solidarity against the Trump fascist regime and its policies, including the ICE presence that has caused so much pain and fear in our neighborhoods. This is the second day of a two day event, the prior evening takes place at the DOMA Arts Complex in the Arts district beginning at 5:30 PM.
We'll start the day with a mini-organizing workshop where you get to learn how to set up for a combo march and "People's Movement Canvassing" action. Then, we'll rally together, dive into the history of and belief in how we can win, why building both community and the greater movement is urgent, ways you can be part of that at your own pace, and how we can work together to build the movement today.
Then we’ll march through the surrounding neighborhood, chanting and advancing the demand, and engaging neighbors with conversation, and inviting them to join us. We'll end the Weekend of Refusal at a local establishment to support the Boyle Heights community, Everyone (except ICE) welcome!
