On Sunday, June 28, between 9am - 4pm, CicLAvia kicks off its 66th car-free open streets event, catalyzing vibrant public spaces, active transportation and good health. CicLAvia—Leimert Park meets Expo Park connects Leimert Park and Expo Park via Crenshaw and Martin Luther King Jr, Blvd., welcoming people of all ages and abilities to enjoy this day-long 3.6-mile pop-up park. Always FREE, participants can enjoy the day by walking, jogging, biking, skating, or simply spectating. Participants can show up anywhere along the route to enjoy the open streets, taking the time to explore, and enjoy a great day.
CicLAvia—Leimert Park meets Expo Park includes three (3) hubs filled with plenty of activities and programs. Hubs are walking zones (mandatory dismounts) and meeting points along the route and include the Leimert Park Hub located on Crenshaw Blvd., north of Vernon; the King Estates Hub on Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, west of Western Ave; and the Expo Park Hub located on Martin Luther King Jr Blvd west of Figueroa St. Hubs offer family-friendly activities, restrooms, free water refilling stations, free basic bike repair, bike parking, places to sit and meet up with friends and family, and first aid.
