Double Down Against Fascism: A Weekend of Refusal Day 1
A night of music, culture and conversation hosted by Refuse Fascism. This is night one of a two-day, two location event. This evening will feature live music by a variety of bands/performers and speakers. It is an opportunity for members of the community to gather in solidarity against the Trump fascist regime and its policies, including the ICE presence that has caused so much pain and fear in our neighborhoods. The second day will include a rally and march beginning at the Mariachi Plaza in Boyle Heights at 11 Am. In the name of humanity we refuse to accept a fascist America!
Friday evening will be a cultural gathering designed to bring people together and build the kind of community movements depend on. There will be: - Music and performances - Light speaking to orient the weekend...and beyond! - Space for people to meet each other and connect. Movements grow when people come together, get to know each other, and begin to see themselves as part of something bigger.
