Combine creative writing with the power of performance to tell your story. $50, all materials included. Monday June 24, Wednesday June 26, Friday June 28 3-5pm: Paper Mache Sculpture with Sophia Allison: Learn the fundamentals of paper mache and how to use it to build artistic 3D sculptures! Use different fiber materials and techniques to create unique coiled artworks. See how different colors interact, while stitching patterns and creating distinctive shaped baskets. $100, all materials included. Wednesday June 26 and Thursday June 27, 3-6pm: Autobiography Comics with Sandra Markarian: Share your stories and experiences with the world through the art of autobiographical comics! Learn black and white comic and cartooning basics while developing storytelling and graphic sequential arts skills. $75, all materials included. Thursday June 27, 5-8pm: Printmaking with Valerie Castenon: Learn about relief printmaking by creating a linocut block print with your own drawing/design. Print your unique design in an edition of 5 to exchange with fellow classmates, friends, or family! $75, all materials included. Friday, June 28, 3-6pm: Surrealist Collage with Sandra Markarian: Learn about the history of surrealist art movement while creating surreal collage worlds of your own! Learn collating techniques and create a large scale collage inspired by surrealist artists studied in class. $45, all materials included.
