AltaMed Grow Proud Honors World AIDS Day with Free LGBTQ+ Film Screening on November 30
In recognition of World AIDS Day, AltaMed Health Services Grow Proud will host a free LGBTQ+ documentary screening and memorial event at its Indiana clinic on November 30, 6-8 p.m., in East Los Angeles. The documentary “UNIDAD: Gay & Lesbian Latinos Unidos” discusses the history of the Gay and Lesbian Latinos Unidos organization and its fight for LGBTQ+ rights and social justice in the face of discrimination and prejudice. There will also be a memorial name reading of those who have lost their fight against the virus. The event is open to the community.
