Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Hosts 2nd Annual Community Wellness Festival, Free Public Event for the Whole Family
WHAT: Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) invites local community members to our 2nd annual Community Wellness Festival! The event will feature interactive family-friendly activities, wellness information and resources, food and school supplies distribution*, live entertainment, meet-and-greet with CHLA’s therapy dogs and more! The hospital will be joined by local leaders and community organizations including Councilmember Hugo Soto Martinez, Council District 13; AltaMed community health network; YMCA; Boys and Girls Club and Inner City Arts.
Health and wellness booths, staffed by CHLA experts, include:
• Injury Prevention
• Pet Therapy Program
• Division of Young Adult and Adolescent Medicine
• Nutrition & Lactation
• Literally Healing reading program
• Southern California Center for Latino Health
• Community CPR
• Emergency Preparedness
• First Aid & Stop the Bleed
• Home Safety
• Medication Safety
